By Quality Assurance people often mean inspection. Prior to submitting a product to a customer, an inspection is conducted to find any potential defects. However, as Harold F. Dodge said, “You cannot inspect quality into a product” – the quality, good or bad, is already there. For this reason, instead of detecting defects we work to prevent them. I will outline our team’s story on how we undertake defect prevention using BDD and XP, including the tools we use and how we fit it into our workflow.
